The ensemble is led by an original flour milling machine from 1938, originating from the Hijos de Juan Ortega factory, founded in the same year. It is accompanied by a representation of the arches from the flour mills in the Vega and an inscription dedicated to the founder of the company, Juan Ortega Mateos, and the memory of all those who contributed to the advancement of industrialization in the town. The construction of the monument is co-financed by the flour mill factory and the City Council.
