On September 8th, the feast day of Our Lady of Remedies Coronada, the Canonical Patroness and Perpetual Mayor of Mairena del Alcor, she processes through our town accompanied by the martyr Saint Sebastian, drawing close to her people and blessing them. The novena in honor of the Most Holy Virgin of Remedies Coronada, patroness of Mairena del Alcor, is celebrated annually from August 29th to September 6th in the San Sebastián hermitage with the following order: novena exercises, Holy Mass, and the singing of the bell-ringers. During these days, within the mass of the novena, different acts organized by the brotherhood for the people of Mairena take place. There is a tribute to the brothers who have been part of the brotherhood for 50 years, golden wedding anniversaries for couples of our town are celebrated, a day is dedicated to the youth, among other events. After the nine days of the novena, the floral offering of the town to their Mother and Patroness takes place every September 7th.
